Meet our Team

Brian Atherton, Sales & Service Manager

After 10 years as an automotive technician, Brian decided it was time to pursue a career in the marine industry; something that he has enjoyed since a young age. During his last five years at Danversport, Brian has worked as a Yamaha Certified Technician, established a marine parts and supply store, and more recently has become the Sales & Service Manager. He maintains the “Safe Haven and Resort Lifestyle” idea of Danversport by encouraging people with all levels of marine experience to feel comfortable buying, selling, storing or servicing their boat. He is dedicated to customer service, whether it’s explaining the basics of buying and owning your first boat or diagnosing engine complications. In his off time, Brian loves watching football, relaxing on his boat, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Jim McKinnon, Service Writer & Parts Manager

Born and raised in the small waterfront town of Rockport, Jim has always loved the ocean. He comes from a multi-generational family of industrial marine professionals. He graduated in 1997 with a Political Science degree from the University of Massachusetts. From there, Jim was a full time Educator at the Essex Ship Building Museum. In past years, Jim maintained his certification as a Five Star Yamaha Service Manager in Gloucester, where he began his 15 year journey of Marine Service. In the summer of 2015, Jim joined Danversport and has streamlined the Parts Department to increase in-house productivity for our mechanics and has also organized our marine store to provide a thoughtfully stocked alternative to the big box marine retailers. He spends his free time writing music and adventuring with his wife and daughter.

Bob DiMambro, Volvo & Mercruiser Technician

Bob is a valuable asset to our service department. He began his career working out of his families’ marina, Salem Marine Basin, at twelve years old. With over 35 years of experience as a factory trained Volvo & Mercruiser technician, he has the knowledge necessary to complete a vast array of projects. In his spare time, Bob enjoys crafting ceramics and spending time with his grandchildren.

On his off days, he plays guitar or enjoys the Merrimac River on his 22FT Cruisers.

Alana Williamson-Doyle, Sales & Service Representative

Alana has been with Danversport for a little over a year. She joined during summer of 2016 as a Sales & Service Representative and frequently works in marina event planning and marketing. Growing up in Gloucester, Alana developed a keen knowledge of the coastal area she calls home. At a young age, she was introduced to life on the water by her hardworking family of fisherman. She studied outdoor education in Colorado, before returning to the East Coast to work as a kayak tour guide and paddleboard instructor. After realizing she had an interest for both maritime activity and sales, Alana happily joined Danversport to begin her career in the marine service industry.

Erin Walsh, Marina Office Administrator

A lobsterman's daughter, Erin has been on the water since before she could walk. She spent her summers on West Beach, kayaking, paddleboarding, and of course, sitting at the helm of her father's 50FT Wesmac, . If you have questions about navigating the North Shore Coastline, Erin is your go-to-girl. Her passion for the outdoors lead her to studying navigation and environmental sciences in Montana. After spending time in the mountains, Erin decided it was time to go back to the ocean. On her off days, Erin enjoys being outside with her family. She's coming up on her fifth year here at Danversport, and we are lucky to have her settling in as the Marina Office Administrator.
